October 5, 2009 - The 26th annual Achievement in Business Excellence (ABEX) Awards will celebrate outstanding business achievement in Saskatchewan. The 2009 ABEX Awards is Saskatchewan’s largest private-sector business excellence award program recognizing exceptional businesses from across the Province. Fast Genetics is pleased to be named as a finalist in the Job Creation category. Fast Genetics increased its full-time staff from 54 in 2006 to 67 in 2008 and by the end of 2009 the company will employ 77 full-time and 7 part-time employees. Fast Genetics actively recruits foreign employees. To facilitate the settlement of these new employees Fast Genetics offers information and assistance to immigrants in order to access Canadian programs and services. An English language tutor is also provided to any non-English speaking employees who wish to utilize such training.
